KOKOMO, INDIANA (October 24, 2020) – With the 2020 racing season nearing the finish line, and the Big Ten football season finally kicking off just down the road in Bloomington with Indiana hosting Penn State, David Gravel along with his Jason Johnson Racing (JJR) #41 team were in The Hoosier State to compete in the Fall Fling at Kokomo Speedway. Coming off a busy schedule of racing last weekend, a performance that displayed the versatile driver’s talent resulting in a sixth place finish on Friday night in the Dietz Motorsports #14 World of Outlaws sprint car at Lakeside Speedway, followed up by him then heading over to Kansas Speedway on Saturday to race on the asphalt in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Clean Harbors 200 where his day ended too early after a restart accident on lap 38, then capping it off with a runner-up finish from the back of the field in the 57th running of the Tony Bettenhausen 100 USAC Silver Crown race at Springfield, Illinois mile making his Silver Crown debut. David Gravel and the forty-one team were ready to keep rolling at Kokomo Speedway’s quarter mile oval as there were 44 winged sprint cars registered in the pit area for the Fall Fling spectacular along with a field of non-wing cars.

PORT ROYAL, PENNSYLVANIA (October 10, 2020) – David Gravel and the Jason Johnson Racing (JJR) #41 team were back at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night after finishing eighth in the Nittany Showdown opener less than 24 hours prior at The Speed Palace. The weather was again picturesque around the Juniata County racetrack with people fishing in the nearby Juniata River as the teams unloaded their equipment in preparation for some high speed action around the always improving half mile facility. The Weikert’s Livestock/Staunton Union Stockyard (SU) Maxim was glimmering in the sun ready for action. There were 51 teams positioned throughout the pit area that sits off of turn four each focused on turning in their best performance as they chased the winner’s portion of the purse.
