Team finishes 3rd in the overall Outlaw points standings as 2017 wraps up

CARLISLE, PA. – November 7, 2017 – In some ways, it was the fitting end to David Gravel and CJB Motorsports 2017 season. The hard charging driver being given a world class race car to pull off a thrilling victory. As they had done many times before, Gravel and his team brought the fans to their feet with as a last lap pass to score another win.

“We’ve been lucky to be the guys that steal victories this year,” Gravel said. “It’s a lot easier than being the guys that have victories stolen from them, for sure. It was just a great way to cap off a very good year. We qualified where we wanted to on Thursday night. We wanted to make sure we put ourselves on the front row of the heat races and we did that.” Read more »

Midwest swing continues at Dodge City Raceway Park to close out October

CARLISLE, PA. – October 24, 2017 – The number of World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series events is rapidly dwindling for 2017. With the final north east stretch wrapped up, the tour headed to the Midwest for the final time this season. Up first was a stop at Lakeside Speedway on Friday, October 20th. David Gravel and the CJB Motorsports team timed in 11th at the half mile oval, located outside of Kansas City, Kan., before finishing third in their heat race. With their ticket punched into the nights feature, the #5 machine would roll off 11th.

“We had a good car as always,” Gravel said. “We made up four spots to finish 7th. It was a nice top-10 for us. We made up some ground. We just missed that dash and that really makes a big difference in how your night goes.”
