Inside Line Promotions \u2013 CALHAN, Colo. (Sept. 15, 2026) \u2013 David Gravel guided Big Game Motorsports to its 40th<\/sup> top-five finish of the season last Saturday at Dodge City Raceway Park.<\/p>\n

After qualifying 10th<\/sup> quickest, a run from fourth to second place in a heat race locked the team into the dash at the dirt oval in Dodge City, Kan. A fifth-place result in the dash was followed by a charge from fifth to second place during the A Main. That was tied for the second-most positions gained in the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race.<\/p>\n

It also marked Gravel\u2019s 11th<\/sup> runner-up result and his 30th<\/sup> podium outing of the season.<\/p>\n

The team ventured to El Paso County Raceway on Monday. Gravel timed in fifth quickest in qualifying, placed second in a heat race and won the dash to garner the pole position for the main event.<\/p>\n

He led the first two laps before dropping to second, where he ran until reclaiming the top spot on Lap 32. Unfortunately, contact in turn one on the final lap resulted in Gravel getting upside down and relinquishing the lead. The crew worked to get the car back on the track for the restart and Gravel salvaged a 17th<\/sup>-place finish, saving a dozen points by finishing the race.<\/p>\n

Gravel currently holds a 114-point lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings as the Series visits California for a five-race swing the next two weeks. It begins this Friday and Saturday at Stockton Dirt Track in Stockton, Calif., for the Dennis Roth Classic.<\/p>\n

Gravel finished fifth during his most recent race at the track in September 2024.<\/p>\n
