Inside Line Promotions \u2013 BRANDON, S.D. (May 26, 2026) \u2013 Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel compiled a trio of top-five finishes last weekend during a busy Memorial Day Weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.<\/p>\n
The action began last Thursday at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., where Gravel set quick time during qualifying. A runner-up result in a heat race moved him into the dash. Gravel moved from last \u2013 eighth \u2013 to sixth place in the dash and he gained one position in the main event to end fifth.<\/p>\n
Two nights later, the team invaded Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. Gravel was fourth quickest in his group before he won a heat race, maneuvered from seventh to fifth place in the dash and picked up one position in the feature to place fourth.<\/p>\n
The Stars & Stripes Salute presented by Folkens Brothers Trucking began on Sunday at Huset\u2019s Speedway with Gravel setting quick time in his qualifying group \u2013 less than one tenth of a second off the track record. However, the remainder of the program was rained out and the program resumed on Monday with a fresh start.<\/p>\n
This time, Gravel was fourth quickest overall. He captured a heat race win before finishing eighth in the dash. The night concluded with a rally in the waning laps of the main event for a fourth-place result.<\/p>\n
The three top fives gives Gravel a World of Outlaws best 17 top fives in 24 main events this season. He currently holds a 118-point lead in the championship standings.<\/p>\n
The team heads to North Dakota this weekend for the Don Mack Classic on Friday at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks followed by the Gerdau Metal Recycling Magic City Showdown on Sunday at Nodak Speedway in Minot.<\/p>\n
Gravel produced World of Outlaws wins at River Cities Speedway in 2017 and in 2023. He captured a Series victory at Nodak Speedway in 2017.<\/p>\n
