Inside Line Promotions \u2013 ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 18, 2026) \u2013 Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel increased his lead in the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship standings last weekend at Eldora Speedway.<\/p>\n
A high pill draw on a track that was slowing down stymied the team on Friday, when Gravel qualified 25th<\/sup> quickest. He advanced from seventh to sixth place in a heat race, which relegated him to the Last Chance Showdown for the first time since Aug. 6, 2025. Gravel gained a position to finish second in the race to transfer into the back of the main event.<\/p>\n A run from 22nd<\/sup> to 11th<\/sup> in the A Main earned the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.<\/p>\n Saturday\u2019s weekend finale started better as Gravel timed in eighth quickest. A fourth-place result in a heat race was followed by a run from 11th<\/sup> to sixth place in the A Main for a total of 16 feature positions gained during the weekend.<\/p>\n Gravel currently leads the World of Outlaws championship standings by 104 points heading into a trio of races during the next week. It begins on Thursday at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., for the Hy-Vee Perks 40. Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, hosts a show on Saturday followed by the Stars & Stripes Salute presented by Folkens Brothers Trucking on Sunday at Huset\u2019s Speedway in Brandon, S.D.<\/p>\n Gravel finished fifth at Jacksonville Speedway last season. He placed second and first, respectively, during a two-day event at Knoxville Raceway last month.
