Inside Line Promotions \u2013 BRANDON, S.D. (April 7, 2025) \u2013 Big Game Motorsports is heading to another elbows-up track this weekend when I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park hosts the Federated Auto Parts Spring Classic.<\/p>\n
David Gravel guided the team to Victory Lane during the opening night of the event at the bullring in Pevely, Mo., last year. It marked his second career World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series victory at the track.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis time of year you never know what you\u2019re going to get there with a lot of rain and colder temperatures,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to racing no matter what track we\u2019re going to see. I was told they took banking out of the track. I\u2019m not sure if that\u2019s true, but we\u2019ll see when we get there on Friday.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gravel has been on a tear in qualifying this season as he has set quick time during five straight races and nine of the last 10. Not included in that is the most recent race when he set quick time before the program was postponed because of the weather.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf it\u2019s really, really fast it\u2019s very important to qualify good or if it\u2019s rough and heavy you want to be close to the front,\u201d he said of this weekend\u2019s track. \u201cIf it\u2019s slick and wide and racy, you can pass a lot of cars there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Not only has qualifying been a strong point for Big Game Motorsports this season, the team has clicked every time it has hit the track. Gravel has eight heat race wins in the 13 official races and he has made the dash in all but one start. Additionally, Gravel has recorded a top-five result in every race this year, giving him a 19-race streak dating back to last season.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe accomplished the championship last year and things are clicking really well,\u201d he said. \u201cThe longer you do it the more you learn. We can\u2019t get too high or too low. We\u2019ll try to continue to bring fast race cars and drive smart and try to continue what we\u2019re doing. Right now, we\u2019re a notch up from last year.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gravel enters the weekend leading the World of Outlaws championship standings by 78 points.<\/p>\n
