David Gravel Puts a Wrap on 2012 Campaign in Charlotte; Will Sport Special Paint Scheme

[singlepic id=36 w=320 h=240 float=right]Watertown, Conn.—Oct. 31, 2012 — What began for David Gravel in February down in Georgia and encompassed over 70 races at 34 tracks in 14 states and one Canadian province, will culminate this week, as he adds one more track to the list of venues he has competed at in 2012, with a trip to The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C.
 
Gravel will have a special paint scheme on his No. 89G to help promote Breast Cancer awareness during the Sixth Annual PEAK Motor Oil World of Outlaws World Finals Presented by NAPA Auto Parts, which open on Thursday, Nov. 1, with two rounds of time trials. The first round of qualifying will be used to set the heat race lineups for the Friday, Nov. 2, race program, while the second round of qualifying will set the fields the heats on Saturday, Nov. 3. The finale of the World Finals will air live on SPEED beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern.
 
“It’s been too long since we last raced and I am ready to get back in the car,” said Gravel. “Hopefully I’m not rusty. We ran pretty strong in our last Outlaws race at Rolling Wheels at the beginning of the month, so we hope to carry some momentum from that race into this weekend. David Gravel Wraps up All Stars Season at Eldora this Weekend

Watertown, Conn.—Oct. 11, 2012 — David Gravel has had a very consistent and solid season with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champion this year, sitting near the top of the leaderboard in a number of categories with the series, and he has one more chance to add to his stats this weekend. He looks to wrap up the All Stars 2012 campaign on a high note as the series heads to the famed Eldora Speedway in Ohio.
 
Gravel will be in action twice on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Eldora. In addition to the season-ending event for the All Stars he will also compete with the NRA Sprint Invaders, a series with which he has won at in the past at the high-banked half-mile.
 
“We’ve been pretty fast at Eldora this year and have had some good luck there as well,” said Gravel. “Hopefully we can put in a good run in each of the cars and head into the World Finals with some more momentum. It all starts with time trials and getting a couple of good laps and then transferring from your heat race into the main event and making it into the dash, so you can start near the front.” Read more »
