PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA (September 11, 2019) – As the nation paused to reflect on the tragic events of 09.11.2001, they honored and paid their respects to all of those individuals that lost their lives along with the brave firefighters and first responders who are all heroes. After a day of remembrance, David Gravel and his fellow World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series competitors rolled into the Sierra Nevada foothills to race at Placerville Speedway in the 49er Gold Rush Classic presented by Riebes NAPA Auto Parts. There were 26 cars registered to race a Placerville, a town that was an original part of the Pony Express line and is highlighted by the many old buildings from the Gold Rush days still today.

A STRONG NIGHT MINING FOR GOLD IN CALIFORNIA: A STRONG FOURTH PLACE FINISH AT SILVER DOLLAR SPEEDWAY CAPS OFF ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND OF RACING AT THE GOLD CUP RACE OF CHAMPIONS

CHICO, CALIFORNIA (September 7, 2019) – There are certainly places in the country that you go that have deep heritages and traditions that are tied to the competition and riches. In California, the racing competition is always tough and demands the best out of you and your team if you expect to be successful . . . or even to survive. On the West Coast this tenacity of purpose may be tied back to The California Gold Rush in 1848 when James W. Marshall found some of the precious metal at Sutter’s Mill in Coloma, California. People from out of nowhere flocked into the area to find riches and were willing to work hard to get what they want. On Saturday night, there were 29 cars lining Silver Dollar Speedway’s pit area all ready to mine for their type of gold, sprint car style, in the Gold Cup Race of Champions finale.
