February 16th, 2023

Inside Line Promotions – BARBERVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2023) – Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel captured the first two World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series main events of the season last weekend during the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals hosted by Volusia Speedway Park.

Gravel’s victories, which both came on Friday evening only a few hours apart after Thursday’s opener was postponed because of rain, made him only the sixth driver to win twice on the same day and just the seventh driver to capture the first two main events of a season. It also marked three straight World of Outlaws triumphs at the track dating back to the DIRTcar Nationals finale in 2021.

“Volusia has been a good track for us,” he said. “We were pretty strong every night. We were happy to unload and be in the ball game. We lacked a little qualifying speed, but we had one of the best cars in race trim.” Read more »

Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Feb. 1, 2023) – Big Game Motorsports begins the 2023 campaign next week in Florida, where David Gravel returns to pilot the No. 2 sprint car on the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series trail for the third straight year.

“We have three guys on our team that have all worked together so I know we have the equipment and the people,” Gravel said. “There were about three nights you wish you could take away last year, but that’s racing. I think we’re more than capable of accomplishing all of our goals this year. We were so close to so many amazing things last year. One more step and we’re there.”

It all begins Feb. 7-11 at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, which hosts a pair of Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions contests prior to the first three World of Outlaws races of the season.

After wet weather canceled the two All Star races during the DIRTcar Nationals last year, Gravel posted finishes of fourth and second prior to earning a triumph during the event finale.
