Fulton Speedway and SuperDIRT Week visit opens October for ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’

CARLISLE, PA. – October 1, 2018 – September wrapped up as the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series invaded the famed Williams Grove Speedway near Mechanicsburg, Pa. for the annual Champion Racing Oil National Open.

David Gravel and his CJB Motosports team returned to competition at what they consider their “home track.” On the opening night, ran on Friday, September 28th, the #5 team timed in 6th in the first flight of time trials, finished 2nd in their heat race and won the first of two Craftsman Club Dashes. Williams Grove Champion Oil National Open on Tap for CJB Motorsports and David Gravel

CARLISLE, PA. – September 24, 2018 – For the second time this season, David Gravel and the CJB Motorsports team raced on with heavy hearts. On Thursday, September 20th, fellow sprint car racer Greg Hodnett lost his life in an incident at Bedford (Pa.) Auto Speedway. With their roots in central Pennsylvania, Gravel and the team will well versed in how talented Hodnett was.

“Greg was a fierce competitor,” Gravel said. “He was a factor about any time he hit the track. Very intense. Off of it, he was kind of quiet but he had a great sense of humor. He was a really good guy. I only have great things to say about him. Hopefully we take the necessary steps at the tracks to prevent this type of thing from happening again.”  Read more »
