Big Game Motorsports and Gravel Facing Two Very Different Tracks This Week

Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (April 30, 2024) – Big Game Motorsports will see two different extremes of track sizes this week.

First up is Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., a small bullring that hosts the Hy-Vee Perks 40 on Wednesday. Driver David Gravel has made four World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series starts at the quarter-mile oval, earning a trio of top 10s with his career-best third-place outing occurring during the most recent visit in 2021.

“Wednesday is probably the smallest track we’ve raced all year,” he said. “I feel we’ve raced a lot of small tracks this season. We’ll try to get through Jacksonville and then stretch our legs at Eldora. I’m curious to see how it will be with the one-inch wicker bill.” Read more »

Big Game Motorsports and Gravel Produce Podium Performance at Tri-State Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – HAUBSTADT, Ind. (April 23, 2024) – David Gravel rebounded in a big way last weekend.

The Big Game Motorsports driver kicked off a pair of World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series weekend races on Friday at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Ky., where he hadn’t competed in a dozen years. Gravel was sixth quickest, won a heat race and placed fifth in the dash to earn the fifth starting position in the Paducah Sprint Car Showdown main event.

Gravel was running in third place and on the bumper of the second-place driver when another driver slid them both exiting a corner. As the drivers had to check up, Gravel and another driver made contact, sending him down the track and into another driver with both getting upside down. It ended the night early for Big Game Motorsports with a season-worst 23rd-place result. Read more »
