HEADING EAST: CJB Looks to Heartland Swing to Turn UP Performance

Illinois and Indiana bullrings are on tap for the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt.’

CARLISLE, PA. – April 11, 2018 – Fresh off of an off weekend, David Gravel & CJB Motorsports returned to competition with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at the Arizona Speedway near Queen Creek, Arizona.

Gravel timed in 12th on the night, finished 3rd in his heat race and charged from 9th to 6th in the feature.

“Time trials is where we continue to focus a lot of our efforts,” said Gravel, pilot of the Big Game Treestands, J.R.C. Transportation Inc., C&S Lawn & Landscape #5. “That’s just so key to the whole night. If you fall behind there, you’re in a big hole that’s hard to get out of. Luckily, our cars are always very good in the feature and we’re able to make up some ground.”

The ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ now heads off to Midwest for events at Jacksonville Speedway in Illinois and Tri-State Speedway near Haubstadt, Indiana. Gravel owns a win at Tri-State having taken the checkers in 2016.

“Both are very fun tracks,” explained Gravel. “They’re bull rings for sure and I can’t wait. CJB has quite a history at Haubstadt. We got beat there last year and broke our winning streak. We want to reclaim that.”
