PETERSEN MEDIA- In action in Bloomington, IN and Berlin, MI over the weekend, David Gravel remained very consistent with the World of Outlaws as he picked up two more Top-10 finishes.
“It was another solid weekend for us,” Gravel said. “We started our weekend off with a track record, and raced okay, and got a couple of Top-10’s out of it.”
Kicking things off at the lightning fast Bloomington Speedway on Friday night, Gravel got off to a great start as he set a new track record board the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle entry during qualifying time trials.
Lining up fourth in his heat race, Gravel would slip back to a sixth place finish, forcing him to go through the B Main for a transfer position into the feature event. Lining up on the pole of the LCS, Gravel jumped out to the lead and cruised to the win, putting his machine in the fifth row for the 40-lap feature event.
In the feature event, Gravel ran inside the Top-10 as he battled with Paul McMahan and Steve Kinser during much of the 40-lap contest. As the laps wore down, Gravel settled into the eighth spot, where he would ultimately go on to finish.
Heading to Berlin, MI on Saturday night, Gravel’s night got off to another nice start as he timed in eight fastest, before finishing third in his heat race.
Lining up 10th in the feature event, the Watertown, CT driver did not get off to a very strong start, as he gave up a few positions, when the green dropped, and spent the duration of the race trying to get those spots back.
Working back inside the Top-10, Grave would close his weekend out by scoring his second Top-10 finish of the weekend.
“My guys worked hard all weekend long on this thing, and I think it showed,” Gravel said. “We were pretty fast, we just struggled a little bit in both features. I have to thank my team as well as Dennis and Teresa Roth for their continued support. As the season gets closer to the end, I’m hoping we can score a couple more wins.”
The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2014.
